Moving abroad, especially alone, can be quite frustrating and challenging. Lots of people who, for any number of reasons, have re-located, share that the hardest part of settling down is managing their personal life. To help overcome the fear of the unknown, the popular dating app Tinder released a new feature called Tinder Passport. The addition allows the users to swipe through locals in their new home, learning a bit about them and their culture. Not long ago calculating the number of people using Tinder Passport, both home and abroad, the company published a list of cities with the highest number of hits, thus creating the list of the best cities for dating.
On the top of the list is the English capital of London, often considered mainly as financial center of Europe. But its fame as one of the most tolerant and open minded places around the globe tops the city as dating scene that’s available to everyone. Tinder advises that if you’d like to impress someone on a first date you should take them to Secret Cinema where you can enjoy a movie dressed as your favorite characters.
The second and third place in the list are taken by two of the most romantic cities in the world – Paris, France and New York, USA. Surprisingly, another considered as top romantic city – Rome, Italy is not even among the top ten. Down on the list are some other surprises – Berlin, Germany, Moscow, Russia and Stockholm, Sweden. The rise of these places is due to the increasing number of young people relocating there, attracted by the high standard of living in Stockholm, the intensive night life in Moscow or the elevated cultural life in Berlin.
The rest of the list is filled by Rio De Janeiro, Brazil on 7th position, followed by Sidney, Australia, Barcelona, Spain and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
According to Sean Rad, founder and CEO of Tinder currently 600 million people are using the app on their mobiles.
